Our Story: Why Lytl Was Born
Before Lytl, I was a mom desperate for a solution. My oldest son struggled to play on his own—he always needed someone to entertain him, or he’d turn to screen time. No matter how many toys I bought, they sat untouched unless I showed him exactly how to play. His imagination wasn’t developing, and his creativity felt nonexistent.
On top of that, we were both overwhelmed. His anxiety climbed from overstimulation—whether from noisy, flashy toys or too much screen time. Meanwhile, I felt drained from the constant mess and clutter of toys that just didn’t help.
I knew something had to change. That’s when I discovered Montessori toys—simple, open-ended, and designed to encourage independent play. For the first time, my son started playing on his own, creating, exploring, and engaging in ways I had never seen before. It was a complete shift for both of us.
I created Lytl to help other parents and children who are struggling like we were. Our toys bring back the simplicity of childhood—less clutter, less overwhelm, and more meaningful play. Because every child deserves to learn, grow, and play with confidence, and every parent deserves a little peace of mind.
